SubscribeThe Terrace Edge vineyard with its gravely, mineral rich soils is renowned for producing delicious Syrah grapes. The vineyard is managed organically and the vines hand-tended with care. After hand-picking the Greystone winemaking team started meticulously crafting the wine. They destemmed the fruit and gave it an overnight cold soak to extract colour and spice out of the skins. The juice was then chilled and racked before fermentation in stainless steel (80%) and seasoned French oak barrels (20%). The lees were stirred periodically to provide texture and complexity. The fermentation was finished at 10g/L residual sugar (off-dry style).
